The German Foreign Minister said at the meeting: "We are witnessing hostilities from Russia towards NATO allies once again." Wadephul added that this incident reflects Russia's efforts to create division and instability among NATO member countries. NATO has shown that it is capable of repelling such attacks. The German Foreign Minister stated: "We will not fear threats." These remarks were made following the downing of a drone on Monday night by an Italian fighter jet in Lithuanian airspace.
