Experts Warn: 25 Years After September 11, America's Institutional Negligence in the Fight Against Terrorism

Experts warn of institutional negligence and resource shortages in America. 25 years after September 11, the risk of terrorist attacks has increased again.

On the 25th anniversary of the September 11 attacks, America faces serious challenges in combating international terrorism. Experts emphasize that reduced resources, the departure of experienced officials, and an increased sense of false satisfaction among security agencies heighten the risk of new attacks.

Negative Impacts of Resource Reduction

The September 11 attacks, carried out by the al-Qaeda group led by Osama bin Laden, resulted in the deaths of approximately 3,000 people and initiated widespread conflicts and instabilities in the Middle East and beyond. This event directly led to an increase in U.S. security and military efforts. However, experts believe that over the past two decades, many resources have been diverted to other threats, leading to negligence regarding the dangers of terrorism.

Risks from Institutional Negligence

With the departure of many experienced officials and reductions in national security budgets, it now feels as though security agencies have fallen into a state of false satisfaction. While new threats still exist, it seems that adequate attention is not being paid to the risks of terrorism. This could increase the likelihood of new attacks and impact national security.

Experts believe that to prevent a repetition of history and the occurrence of events similar to September 11, there is an urgent need to reassess security strategies and allocate sufficient resources to combat terrorism. Otherwise, America may once again witness the tragedies that occurred in 2001.
