On September 11, 2001, Engine 101 in New York was one of the first places to respond to the scene of the terrorist attacks. Since that day, 25 years have passed, and Sal Argano, the brave firefighter, is the last person still serving at this station.
Bitter and Sweet Experiences
Sal Argano is recognized at Engine 101 not only as a firefighter but also as a symbol of sacrifice and selflessness. On September 11, when other firefighters were trying to save lives, he went into the heart of the fire and fulfilled his duty. This experience has made him a person who continues to remember those days and the lessons learned from them.
Determination and Will Against Despair
As the years have passed, many of Sal Argano's colleagues have passed away, but he continues to work with determination and will at his fire station. He teaches the younger generation of firefighters and uses his experiences to inspire others. Sal says, "Every day I come to work, I keep the memory of that day alive and try to provide the best service to the people."
Despite all the challenges and hardships he has faced over the years, Sal Argano still remains hopeful for the future and continues to strive for the safety and health of the people. He embodies the spirit of sacrifice and selflessness that exists in every firefighter.
