Investigations into the information leak from the Pakistan cricket team's dressing room continue with the examination of Mohammad Rizwan and Imam-ul-Haq's phones. Initial investigations indicate a lack of significant evidence.

Mohammad Rizwan and Imam-ul-Haq, players of the Pakistan cricket team, have found some relief from the initial examination of their phones in the ongoing investigations into the information leak from the team's dressing room. However, the investigation by the National Cyber Crime Agency of Pakistan (NCCIA) is still ongoing, and the review of digital records and financial transactions related to these two players is underway.

Examination of phones and digital information

According to reports, the initial examination of Mohammad Rizwan and Imam-ul-Haq's phones has not revealed any significant evidence, but further forensic analyses are being conducted. These examinations are being pursued at the NCCIA office in Islamabad. The investigations were initiated following concerns about the leak of sensitive information from the Pakistan cricket team's dressing room. The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has handed over the players' phones to the relevant authorities for examination.

Details of the investigations and questions raised

According to sources, the PCB monitored Rizwan and Imam's phones before handing them over to the relevant authorities. Investigators are examining messages, contacts, and other digital information available on these devices. Information published on social media regarding the mentioned leaks is also part of these investigations. Although the initial examination did not reveal significant evidence, forensic analyses are still ongoing. Additionally, the investigations are looking into the players' financial transactions, with officials reviewing their bank accounts and transactions before and after the Pakistan team's trip to England.

Rizwan and Imam were summoned to the NCCIA in Lahore earlier this month and were questioned about the alleged leaks. Sources report that investigators also asked the two players about their contacts and meetings during practices and matches in England. Both players, according to sources, requested more time to provide accurate written responses to the questions raised by the authorities. Meanwhile, Rizwan has submitted a written response to the NCCIA, requesting clarification regarding the reasons for his summons and the reason for the retention of his phone.

The NCCIA is expected to present its findings to the PCB officials after completing the forensic examinations. According to reports, the PCB will make decisions regarding the matter related to these two players in light of this agency's report. The PCB has previously stated that it will not comment on the ongoing investigations. No final conclusions have been announced, and the allegations against Rizwan and Imam remain under investigation.
