A recent survey by the Institute for National Security Studies shows that 46% of West Bank Palestinians believe that Israel has no right to exist, while 41% recognize this right. The survey, conducted between June 27 and July 2 with interviews of 400 Palestinians, has a margin of error of 4.9%.
Security Concerns and Views on Conflicts
Moreover, 91% of participants in this survey expressed their concerns about the military operations of the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) in the West Bank. Additionally, 60% of respondents stated that their sense of personal security is low or very low.

Regarding the end of Israel's existence, 42% of Palestinians believe that this is possible, while only 32% think it is impossible. Furthermore, only 27% of participants supported a two-state solution to resolve the Israel-Palestine conflict, while 22% support a non-racial state with equal rights.
Analysis of Political and Social Positions
The survey also indicates that 52% of respondents prefer negotiations as a way to end the Israel-Palestine conflict, while only 12% supported armed resistance as an option. 57% of Palestinians believe that violence has failed and that international diplomatic efforts are more effective.
Additionally, 40% of participants believe that Hamas should be disarmed and the majority prefer that Hamas does not govern Gaza. The popular option for governing Gaza is the National Committee for Gaza (NCAG), which was chosen by 32% of respondents, while 21% voted for other Palestinians and 21% for the Fatah-Hamas unity government.
Regarding the succession of Mahmoud Abbas, the President of the Palestinian Authority, Marwan Barghouti, the imprisoned Fatah leader, leads with 34% of the votes, while Hussein al-Sheikh, Abbas's deputy, received only 8% support.
The issue of unemployment was raised as the biggest concern for 97% of respondents, while 96% identified settler violence as a major problem. 14% of participants were direct victims of settler attacks, and 33% became aware of these incidents through media and social networks.
Overall, this survey reflects various aspects of Palestinian opinions and concerns, clearly depicting their worries about security, political, and social conditions in the region.
